We’ve just revamped the APC by Schneider Electric Business Networks certification track to give you a better picture of how the market is changing, what are the current opportunities, and how you can seize them. The Business Networks track focuses on all aspects of networking and infrastructure, from wiring closets to server rooms to complete data centers. Courses are available for sales professionals and technical staff.
Subject matter ranges from the basics – how to identify business networks and the different types of business networks – to more in-depth topics such as how to detect and capture sales opportunities.
In the past, our curriculum was product-heavy and time-consuming. Based on feedback we received from partners, we have made course materials more referential and placed a stronger focus on “how to” approaches to help you more quickly identify opportunities and direct you to tools that help better address customer needs. We wanted to make the information we provide you more relevant to the current market.
Recognizing our partners are short on time as you constantly get pulled in different directions to serve customers, we wanted to condense courses and make them easier to complete. For instance, the Business Networks Sales Associate consists of three video-based courses you can quickly access through the APC Partner Central portal at your convenience:
- The Business Networks Market Opportunity
- Components of a Business Network Infrastructure
- APC By Schneider Electric Solutions for the Business Networks Market
This track covers the basics. The Sales Professional track adds more depth with courses about how to maximize sales and follow leads, detect and capture opportunities, expand sales and add value to your customer’s business, and align Schneider tools to the phases of your sales cycle. As you can see, everything is geared toward showing you the opportunity and how to capitalize on it.
This refined approach to certification training fits in with the recent enhancements we have made to our partner engagement strategy. That strategy is supported by four pillars:

- Provide enablement though more diverse sales and marketing

We believe our redesigned Business Networks Certification curriculum accurately reflects these principles.
It’s important to remember that our certification tracks help you climb higher in our partner program’s tiered structure. The Business Networks Sales Associate certification can help you reach the “Select Partner” level. Reaching “Premier” or “Elite” status would require completing a few more certifications, and attaining an annual APC revenue target.
