The old song says “see you in September.” In our case, we hope to see you at Data Center World New Orleans from Sept. 12 – 15. As part of the end-user driven agenda focusing on real solutions for today’s key challenges, Schneider Electric will participate in several panels and lead two educational sessions. At booth No. 301, we’ll be exhibiting solutions for every phase of the data center life cycle and debuting our virtual reality experience.
To start, Greg Johnson, Director, Data Center Software Solutions, Schneider Electric will participate on a panel moderated by Jennifer Cooke, Research Director, IDC Datacenter Trends & Strategies Group on Monday, Sept. 12 at 2:10 p.m.
The session, “The Future of Data Center Management: Panel Discussion on the State of DCIM,” will center around IDC survey data which shows that the amount of equipment in a data center has a direct impact on the amount of security breaches experienced. Panelists will provide actionable advice for improving management of resources to deal with the continued struggle of managing infrastructure and processes.
Carsten Baumann, Manager, North American Operations, Schneider Electric will moderate the “Let’s Move to the Cloud” session, at 3:30 p.m. He will guide panelists as they dissect executive intentions for moving to the cloud and how to be a leader in the transformation.
On Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 9:25 a.m., Karen Cooper, Business Development Manager, Digital Services, Schneider Electric will present, “Technology Enabled Data Center Life Cycle Services.” She’ll discuss why assessing where you are now, mapping out where you want to be, and monitoring all aspects of the data center are keys to success and improvements in availability and efficiency. She will also offer insight into cloud-based monitoring of data centers and define the role of analytics and automation.
If you have always wondered about the best cases for prefab solutions, join Scott Neal, Director, Prefabricated Data Centers, Schneider Electric, at 10:35 a.m. as he answers: “What is the real value of prefabricated data centers?” He’ll show examples of prefab installations and how they resolved customers’ business challenges and offer insight into how to determine the best strategy for investing in physical infrastructure.
Carsten will moderate another panel on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10:50 a.m. on “IoT and Its Impact Everywhere.” The discussion will focus on how the IoT is affecting data centers networks, LANs and IPs, data storage, bandwidth and power, and offer solutions for successful deployments and ongoing management.
At the crux of all these session is the goal to predict and prevent incidents and downtime in data centers. So after you have talked through challenges and answers, you’ll probably want to see solutions in action.
That’s why we’re bringing a wide range tools and experts to the Schneider Electric booth No. 301. From infrastructure to software and management services, we can walk you through the entire lifecycle. Domenic Alcaro, Vice President, Data Center Software Solutions, Schneider Electric, will be at the show along will many other members of the data center solutions team.
“Data Center World is a particularly valuable event due to its educational agenda,” he says. “Attendees have a great opportunity to speak with peers, hear about real-world implementations and get actionable help from strategic partners. We look forward to hearing about top data center challenges from AFCOM members and offering guidance on how to address them, while simultaneously meeting increasing business demands.”
